Therapy
I'm a licensed psychotherapist with a private therapy practice in New York. I see clients primarily over Zoom, with the option to meet in person every 4-6 weeks.
Why seek a therapist?
If you are struggling with difficult emotions, situations, or looking to make a change in your life, you may find therapy offers a chance to build the life you want.

"Gestalt' means "whole", and my Gestalt training focuses on exploring each part of yourself, and finding space for all of you. We will also explore, at your rate of tolerance, how the body and brain interact.

Who do I work with?
Most of my clients lead intense lives, and juggle significant work and personal responsibilities. Many come to therapy after focusing heavily on certain aspect of their lives, and realize that other parts of them need tending. My clients come from a variety of professional backgrounds, but tend to be inquisitive thinkers with a desire to cut through the bullshit and get into what's really going on.
Rates and Insurance
My rate is $275-$350 per session. I am an out of network provider and provide monthly superbills to clients for submission to their insurance provider.

I reserve a portion of my practice for clients whose limited financial resources make therapy unaffordable. If that describes you, you can contact me about joining the waitlist when one of those spots opens up.

Where do we start?
Contact me here to up an exploratory conversation: you can share a little about yourself and what you'd like to work on, and I can give you a sense of my approach. After the initial conversation, we can both decide if we think there is a good fit between us. If so, we will set up weekly sessions.
About me
I started my career in South Central Los Angeles, first as a union organizer, and then as a high school English teacher. Interested in system-level change, I spent the next 15 years running non-profit organizations. As the head of talent acquisition for Teach For America, I led the talent strategy for scaling the $350M organization as it doubled in size. I went on to serve as the Executive Director of Educators for Excellence in New York City and became a Partner with the Wildflower Foundation, where I raised funds and drove the regulatory approval process to build a public Montessori school in the Bronx.
My coaching practice launched 10 years ago, when the CEO of an international start-up asked me to observe her and give feedback.
As my work expanded across the US, Europe and Asia, I noticed that our most career-threatening barriers often aren’t strategic - they're relational, and connected to how we manage our emotions. This led me to study the brain and body at the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy in New York City, which supplements my BA from Wellesley College and MA in Education from Loyola Marymount University.
I am now a licensed psychotherapist with a private practice in New York City and an executive coaching firm that works with clients all over the world. In my free time, I hike with my partner and our dog Tom, and work on my old house on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. I have a deep love for musical theater and occasionally moonlight in my town's productions.
